The Friday of the remodel I hosted a dual birthday party for two of my sons, Alex and Trent.

It was a bold and crazy move and I was very stressed because the remodel had NOT progressed like I had projected BUT it was at FunZone and all the stress melted away!

I walked in and the girls working at FunZone took over and helped me out with every detail:)

Did I mention we had over 60 children show up?

You think crazy but it was the first Friday after school had started

and everyone needed this. It was time to take a breathe and get

back in touch with old friends and make new ones:)

Well, I have finally decided to go insane and take on a huge undertaking!

Two weeks ago my staff and I started on Sunday Aug. 14th boxing things up, covering things up and tearing things down!

One of the first things we had to do is scrape the girls off the windows. It was sad seeing them go since they have been apart of Hissyfits for the last six years (I had them painted when we where alittle over a year old). This one was supposed to resemble Hannah Dean because she came to work when the artist was there and he thought it was cool:)

No one knew what we had ahead of us and how we would hurt every morning!

To be honest I am still stiff in the morning and the bruises have not all healed:)

This is Sarah wrapping things up and soon this case would be her project to paint:)

This painting was me and my dog "Sissy". She has passed now:(

Last, we put putty in all the holes before calling it a night

and found there was more putty than wall.

I then did what any good boss would do after a hard days work

and treated them to one of my favorite places to eat:

Scott and I went to one of our favorite places on earth to spend the eve of New Year's Eve and here is a toast to you for making it through 2010 with us and may 2011 live up to all of your (& ours) hopes and dreams:)

It was cold and windy to start off the sunset but ended quite nice once the clouds were out of the way.

*Thanks to a dear friend Heather for the beautiful scarf she gave me for Christmas. I wore it proudly with one of my Little Grandma's brooches.

The wind was so bad early on that you couldn't see down the beach.

Then out came Mr. Sun:)

It doesn't look much like Germany anymore! It looks like God's miracle:) And below is the one he made for me:)

Could be Germany again, right? Nope, it's Rosemary Beach, FL:) We can't say enough great things about this place!

New Year, New Us?

New Year, New Us? That is the question. We started back to school yesterday and have lots of things flip flopped around the beginning of this year already. Scott's on a different schedule and that means the boys and I are too. We started off this morning nice and slow with some pictures of our newest addition... Griffon. He is Dylan's new dog but we all share him and love him (even Lou!) and we all tolerate his SMELL. If you've ever had a loved pet with bad gas you can empathize with me on how hard this can be:) He has what we call "the worst silent but deadly's"!!!

This is our new toy that I purchased for Hissyfits Boutique and one for our home. It's called "The Claw" and is GREAT! We hope it will help us and other mothers keep kids entertained so they can do some much needed shopping:)

Alex seemed to enjoy playing "The Claw" and loved the rewards-CANDY! That's all we need. I don't know how it will do with carrots and califlower but I know Trent would like that:) LOL

This is what I walked in on Alex doing in the other boys room. I sat while he told me the story behind his elaborate set up and then took lots of pictures which made him smile from ear to ear!

Below...See the man with the bazooka (he's small and green), he's going to help the Indians and is a traitor.

Here is a pirate and we don't know why he has shown up but he looks like he is "crazy".

The battle is about to take place and the bridge is about to be blown by the bazooka man!!! Oh, NOOOOOO.....

Back to reality. Lots of homework for the other two Wiley boys and then baths and reading. No FUN HERE!!! We have very little time for much else on Monday's:)

A Great Weekend Opens Doors:)

Scott and I set off Friday for a hard working, fast flying weekend (Scott also received a ticket on the way down to the beach above Bonifay for his "fast-flying" LOL). And it was a beautiful weekend to work at a cute store in Rosemary Beach, Fl.

I have a jewelry line that I represent here in the U.S. called Mahlon Grace and I was down in Rosemary putting on a trunk show for all the visitors and for home owners weekend. It was a great success but most of all I loved getting to know the fine people of Rosemary and a wonderful new cookbook author, Ginny McCormick. This is the town hall and our view from the store:)

This is a cute little restaurant that Ginny and I ate at called "Summer Kitchen". We both had the same meal (down to the drinks) and all I remember is it was some kind of mild, white fish and it was delicious!!!

I had to take Ginny to one of my favorite new haunts, Sweet Geni's. I love her cupcakes and I always get the plain birthday cupcake with sprinkles:) Be warned: if you start, you will crave and you will gain weight, HA HA HA! Also, Sweet Geni's only takes cash and at $4.50 a cupcake and all the candy (she's a candy shop also) you better take at least a $50.00:) She is located in Seacrest by Chop's on 30A.

About the artist:
Sergio Gutierrez was born in Colombia, in 1965. He studied electronics engineering while living in Medellin, Colombia. In 1991, he moved to San Francisco where he began researching ways of using ball chain to create a mesh like fabric. After two years, he developed what is now the basis of his “Liquid Metal Mesh” jewelry and accessory line. In 1994, designer Betsy Johnson was the first to approach Sergio about creating exclusive designs for her chain of retail stores. She carried his line for two years. He decided to relocate to Miami and then came companies such as Nordstrom, Babe and Cache, when his company started to grow.
Sergio's creativity and dreams for his business continued. He developed techniques for incorporating his “Liquid Metal Mesh” with leather bags, bracelets, belts and jackets along with blue jean pants and skirts.
In 2003, he was granted a patent for creating a unique technique he has named, “Liquid Microchips”, electronic circuitry components have been altered to resemble the most delicate, intricate decorative elements. Sergio fondly refers to them as the “skeletons of today's inside technology”. These “skeletons” are incorporated into his mesh, objects collection and leather items.

Our summer begun with road trips and projects:)Alex went to Camp Mac for the first time and I was a mess

Below are some pictures of my stay at the Days Inn in Downtown Atlanta

Flames shoot out from the hair dryer plug from this outlet. Scary!!

Other plug we could chose from.

Because the only use one part of the plug, this is the fire hazard they decided to go with.

The other part of this story is that we stayed there for a stressful two nights

and on the first night of our visit Days Inn decided to charge my mastercard

$305,595.00!!!

What did they do about it? What did Corporate do about it?

NOTHING!!!! (But cause me more STRESS)

I will NOT ever stay with any Days Inn again!!!

All being done while my husband is serving our great Country:)

He is a Hurricane Hunter:)

Took back the movie below and got this:)

It was GREAT!!!

Watched this Sat. afternoon and all I have to say is

"I want my money BACK!!!!"

Do not waste your money and THIS IS NOT FOR CHILDREN!!!

(Unless you want your kids to think it's okay to act like they are in charge and be crazy)

They did wrong by the book!!!

We left the ball fields in my mothers new car and went to eat at the

new Nip and Ernie's off of 84 West.

It was good and my boys LOVED their milkshakes:)

We then went by the shop to check in and saw that we

finally received our great bracelets that is such a craze in Florida.

Well, as many of you know our weekend started off with a snow day Friday!!

This is two of my children playing at our great neighbor's house that actually had enough

of the white stuff stick in their yard to make snowballs:)

Our yard has a lot of oak trees so we didn't get as much as others in the hood:)

Too funny!

Scott hired a babysitter last night that was great to the kids

and we went to the movies to see Dear John.

It was a very good movie and pulled the heart strings

of many women around the world that have to

let their loved ones go fight for our freedom:)

I would like to say again

Thank you to all you military men and women who fight for us

and thanks to all the families that get left behind:)

Now, to make you military laugh, my husband is in the Air Force and is a Hurricane Hunter with the Biloxi unit and of course the planes are C130 J models. Well, I sat by a young man trying to impress his girlfriend and he starts yelling out everything military in the movie by name like he is a know it all and some big deal. So, he proceeds to tell her the C17 in the movie is a C130 and he has flown in one and names most everything else wrong. It was classic!!! I sat there laughing inside.

This is the movie I am going to see today with Aimee and Lindsay:)
